This blog and associated videos have been created to step you through how to deactivate the system header and footer options from your Salesforce Marketing Cloud account and then add the provided options to your existing emails and templates and/or create new emails and templates using these assets. These steps assume that you have administrative permissions to edit the Setup of your account. In addition, Package Manager is used to allow installation of the provided zip file so you'll need permissions to Package Manager as well to fully benefit from this post.
Deactivate System Header and Footer
From within Setup, navigate to Company Settings > Account Settings and then choose the Edit option. Scroll to the bottom and adjust the radio button for all 4 header/footer options to set each to the "None" option.
Also from within Setup, navigate to Platform Tools > Feature Settings > Email Studio > Delivery Profiles and then open each delivery profile within your account. Most accounts have a single delivery profile which may be named as "Default". Open and then select "None" as the header and footer. Click Save.
Install Header and Footer Blocks with Package Manager
Download the zip file located at the link below. This zip file is a package that can be installed through Package Manager.
View Provided Header and Footer Blocks
After installing the package, you can view the available options for headers and footer inside Content Builder or Email Studio.
Using the Provided Blocks in Templates and Emails
The blocks may be inserted into existing or new emails and templates by dragging them onto the email or template creation canvas.
